The purpose of this study was to deeply understand the Causes and consequences of sexual violence in homeless women. The method of the present study is qualitative and grounded theory and the data were collected using semi-structured deep interview technique. 19 participants were selected through theoretical and purposeful sampling and information saturation criteria. After analyzing the information, the research findings, on the causal dimension of factors such as addiction and addictive behaviors, economic dependency, daily life style and spatial domains, on the contextual dimension, such as, social exclusion, disruption of family relationships, urban disorganization neighborhoods and the escalating risk of being victimized, and finally, the interventionist dimension of the concepts of inability to pursue justice and the continuation of violence, lack of support and social policies, were extracted. The central theme or phenomenon of research is the inevitability of sexual violence in homeless women. The strategies of homeless women to deal with the current situation are adaptive and change-oriented. Along with the social work attitude, any intervention in the situation of the homeless requires a comprehensive and systematic look at the different dimensions of the problem, its needs and challenges.

Using an analytical approach and proposing the question: How is the convergence of social policy and social work possible? this study aims to investigate the role of social work in social policy development and the effect of welfare ideologies, and consequently social policies on social work. This paper identifies and conceptualizes the areas of interest to express this relationship in two axial roles: 1) the minimalist role in which the social worker is only the executor of social policy. In this situation, the social worker appears in the role of social policy executor in organizations and centers that provide social services, and 2) the extremist role in which the social worker acts as the social policy reformer. In this situation, the social worker embarks on a plan to analyze the existing problem, to present a research proposal, and even approve the policy at the same time with implementing the social policies to determine the agenda for implementing or preventing the implementation of a policy. In this role, the social worker both helps with developing the effective social work in a two-way interaction with social policy and help with the dynamicity and evolution of the social policy in an organic connection; the synergy interaction which is considered as a necessity for up-to-date social work and applied social policy in Iran.

Using a quantitative method of surveying, the present study aimed at investigating the relationship between poverty and emotional relationships among couples living in District 16 of Tehran, Iran. Applying cluster sampling, 400 individuals were selected as the statistical sample. The data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire and were analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistics given by SPSS (Ver. 20). The results showed a significant negative relationship between economic poverty and emotional relationships between couples (p = 0.001), indicating that the more the economic poverty in the family, the less the emotional relationships among the members would be. In addition, a significant statistical correlation existed among economic poverty, negative behaviors, violence in the family, trust, and supportive behaviors (p = 0.001). In general, economic poverty increases violence, which by itself affects the emotional relationships between couples. Therefore, it appears that if adopted policies focus on improving the household economic status and income, the size of the family and community harms will decrease significantly.
