Abstract

Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to explain the positive attitude towards addiction through a mechanistic model based on variables such as label, exclusion and feeling the need to use drugs. From a methodological point of view, this quantitative study was an explanatory survey. The statistical population was all the women undergoing treatment in addiction treatment centers of Golestan province in 2021, and 187 valid questionnaires were collected by available sampling method. The test of the research model was done by relying on the structural equation model (Amos26).
The results of the hypothesis process showed that the social label directly leads to an increase in social exclusion, then social exclusion has a significant effect on the feeling of needing to use drugs. Furthermore, the feeling of needing to use drugs has a strong influence on the positive attitude towards drugs. In general, the mentioned variables explain 0.69% of the variance of the positive attitude towards drugs. Therefore, a positive attitude towards addiction is a function of feeling the need to use drugs, which itself is a function of exclusion and social label.
